The 2024 National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America (NAMMBA) Connect conference is taking place from Aug. 21-23 in Orlando, Fla. Dodd Frank Update will be covering the event, which promotes diversity, inclusion, and economic opportunities for women and minorities in the mortgage banking sector.
The agenda includes topics such as best lending practices, professional development, market trends, technological innovations, and strategies for advancing diversity in the workplace. The focus will be on providing actionable insights to help professionals navigate the mortgage industry’s evolving landscape and explain how inclusion can drive business growth.
NAMMBA Founder and CEO Tony Thompson is slated to speak at multiple points during the conference, most notably during the “Keynote Session: Advancing Equitable Housing and Building Wealth for Underserved Communities,” alongside Freddie Mac Director of Equitable Housing Tamela Thurman and Freddie Mac Senior Director of Housing Outreach, Single-Family Acquisitions Division Stacey Walker.
Attendees will also have access to sessions covering “The Three R’s: Rates, Regulations and Real Estate,” “Ensuring Fairness and Integrity: Navigating Fair Lending and UDAAP in Financial Advertising,” and “Navigating the Redlining Landscape: Spotting Challenges and Opportunities,” among other topics.
In addition to the educational sessions, NAMMBA Connect offers a variety of networking opportunities to engage in discussions about the future of the industry, and build relationships with industry insiders who can contribute to our in-depth coverage of all facets of the real estate finance sector.
