Rehearing of CFPB case raises pivotal separation-of-powers questions

Parties involved in the case of the National Treasury Employees Union v. Russell Vought got their second opportunity to present oral arguments before the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals en banc on Feb. 24. The outcome of the proceedings could determine the fate of a majority of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s staff and the agency itself.
