The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) issued the second of four planned requests for comment (RFC) seeking feedback on regulations that are outdated, unnecessary or unduly burdensome on July 10.
The NCUA noted it is voluntarily undertaking this feedback-gathering effort, as it is not statutorily required to pursue a regulatory review under the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act (EGRPRA).
With this RFC, the agency is seeking input on NCUA regulations related to agency programs, capital and consumer protection.
America’s Credit Unions commented on the first section of the review in 2024 and the trade group indicated it will solicit member feedback to inform a comment letter in response to the latest RFC as well.
Stakeholder comments are due within 90 days of the RFC’s publication in the Federal Register.
