The Department of Housing and Urban Development announced the publication of a notice of proposed rulemaking for the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing provision of the 1968 Fair Housing Act. The rule, initially promulgated in 2015, then rescinded in 2020, is a major part of President Joe Biden’s housing initiatives.
