NEXT Mortgage Events LLC, an event creator for women mortgage executives, recently announced the launch of NEXT, the industry’s first technology-centric conference and expo for women executives in the mortgage industry.
The event will take place over two days on Jan. 18-19, 2018 at the Dallas InterContinental. It will feature educational sessions, technology demonstrations, a product-focused exposition hall and networking opportunities.
“With origination volume expected to decline in 2018, lenders need to know which technologies can help them grow and stay profitable — that’s exactly where NEXT comes in,” NEXT Co-founder Molly Dowdy said in a press release. “NEXT’s goal is to position attendees as the ‘what’s NEXT’ experts inside their organizations. That’s particularly important in declining markets, like the one that’s predicted for 2018.”
NEXT’s session topics focus on pragmatic information and tech-based solutions that address the industry’s biggest concerns, such as compliance, lower origination volumes, enhanced borrower experience, employee retention and sustained profitability. NEXT’s speakers include Tracy Stephan, director of enterprise innovation at Fannie Mae; Tiana Laurence, author of “Blockchain for Dummies” and co-founder and CMO of Factom; Rob Chrisman, mortgage journalist and commentator; and Marcia Davies, chief operating officer at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).
A lending operations executive will moderate the technology showcase demonstrations. The moderator will present a typical lender challenge and the technology provider will have six minutes to demonstrate how its product solves the issue. Only nine demo slots are currently available. Companies that wish to participate can apply on the NEXT conference website: www.NEXTMortgageConference.com.
“Technology’s role on lenders’ bottom line profitability will keep growing as the market contracts and tech companies keep innovating,” NEXT Co-founder Jeri Yoshida said. “NEXT helps women executives stay on top of the tech innovations that impact the success and longevity of their businesses. NEXT delivers hard content in a thoughtfully designed, comfortable environment.”
