House passes Choice Act, financial industry reacts

The Financial Choice Act passed the House on June 8 by a 233-186 vote, split along party lines with one exception, and 11 representatives abstaining. Although there is skepticism about the bill’s chances in the Senate, the vote puts the bill one step closer to eliminating or neutralizing multiple provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act.
