The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California denied CashCall, Inc.’s motion for judgment on the pleadings in a case between the company and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The bureau filed its complaint in December 2013, alleging that that the online loan servicer engaged in UDAAP violations by trying to collect on debts that were not owed.
