CFTC proposes changes to swaps reporting rules

Four years after implementing Dodd-Frank Act mandates regarding the reporting of data on the swaps market, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission is proposing changes to those rules. The proposals, which now are open for comment, are expected to provide clarity to swap counterparties and registered entities regarding reporting obligations for cleared swaps and improve the efficiency of data collection.
