ICBA announces nominees for 2021-2022 board

The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) has announced its nominees for its 2021-2022 board of directors. The current board will vote on the nominees during ICBA Connect, a virtual banking event to be held March 9-10.
Nominations and their positions include:
- Chairman: Robert Fisher, Tioga State Bank
- Chairman-elect: Brad Bolton, Community Spirit Bank
- Vice Chairman: Russell Laffitte, Palmetto State Bank
- ICBA President and CEO: Rebeca Romero Rainey of Washington, D.C.
- Treasurer: Gregory Deckard, State Bank Northwest
- Secretary: Tim Aiken, Union Bank Inc.
- Immediate Past Chairman: Noah Wilcox, Grand Rapids State Bank, held by Wilcox Bancshares Inc.
- Past Chairman: Preston Kennedy, Zachary Bancshares Inc.
- Past Chairman: Timothy Zimmerman, Standard Bank, PaSB
- Past Chairman: R. Scott Heitkamp, ValueBank Texas
- Consolidated Holdings Chairman: Jack Hartings, The Peoples Bank Co.
- At-large Director and Federal Delegate Board Representative: Thomas Bates Jr., Legends Bank
- At-large Director and Federal Delegate Board Representative: Douglas Ouellette, Mercantile Bank of Michigan
- At-large Director: Mark Hesser, Pinnacle Bancorp Inc.
- At-large Director: Jill Sung, Abacus Federal Savings Bank
- Bank Education Committee Chairman: Kathryn Underwood, Ledyard National Bank

“ICBA’s nominating committee has selected an outstanding slate of talented and respected volunteer leadership bankers to serve on our board of directors, a critical role especially during this unique time as community banks across the nation continue to step up to support their customers and communities through times of challenge,” ICBA President and CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey said in a release. “We look forward to working with these fiercely dedicated community banking advocates and to their election at our annual meeting preceding ICBA Connect.”
