MISMO awarded key volunteers for their noteworthy standards-related industry contributions at its 2022 winter summit.
“MISMO is powered by a dedicated group of volunteers who lend their talents and expertise to our work creating essential standards and best practices that address key business challenges,” MISMO President Seth Appleton said. “We are grateful for our entire community and especially commend this group of volunteer contributors for going above and beyond in enabling us to collaborate across the industry to accelerate the industry's move to a fully digital mortgage process.”
Four awards were distributed: the Chair Award goes to the person who made substantial contributions over an extended period to the advancements of MISMO and/or industry standards and is selected by the chairs of each MISMO committee; the Standards Champion Award goes to the professional who made substantial contributions toward advancing MISMO standards; the Outstanding Contributor Award is given to member professionals who stood out because of their significant contributions to the organization over the past year; and the MISMO Visionary Award.
The last award was created this year for and awarded to outgoing MISMO Board Chair Kurt Pfotenhauer, First American vice chairman. MISMO stated Pfotenhauer has been a driving force in positioning the organization for success since joining in 2018. While serving on the board, he has recommended several enhancements to enable the organization to meet growing industry demand.
Lynn Calahan, Wells Fargo vice president, financial reform-data strategies, received the Chair Award. The Standard Champion Award was given to Rishi Godse, USAA technical architect. The Outstanding Contributor Award had two recipients this year: Mike Bixby, LoanLogics, director of data governance, and Mike Mueller, MGIC business partner relationship manager.
