The Financial Services Roundtable (FSR) recently announced its 2017 Board of Directors. Chairman and CEO of Bank of America Brian Moynihan will serve as FSR’s Board Chairman and Michael Tipsord, Chairman, President and CEO of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company is FSR’s chairman-elect, slated to lead the board in 2018.
“Brian Moynihan is a highly respected leader in the financial industry,” FSR CEO Tim Pawlenty said, “and FSR members look forward to his leadership and efforts to advance policies that spur economic growth, better serve and protect consumers, and leverage technology so the financial system is more secure and accessible.”
FSR also announced the re-appointment of Kessel D. Stelling, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Synovus, as treasurer and welcomed the following incoming board members:
- Roger Crandall, Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual)
- Dan Houston, Principal Financial Group
- Margaret Keane, Synchrony Financial
- Kelly King, BB&T
- Scott Powell, Santander US
- Walter White, Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America
These board members, along with other FSR CEO members, will guide FSR’s priorities for 2017, which include:
- FinTech policy and collaboration
- Financial services regulatory reform
- Housing finance reform
- Tax reform
- Cybersecurity
- Trade
- Retirement security policy
- Insurance capital standards and flood insurance
