Mortgage Network, Inc., one of the largest privately held independent mortgage companies in the eastern U.S. region, recently announced that James Comosa has been named president.
Robert McInnes, Mortgage Network’s owner, co-founder and former president, announced internally his intent to move to the role of chairman and CEO, elevating Comosa to president.
“I’m very excited for the future of Mortgage Network,” McInnes said. “Jim brings a keen strategic insight to every aspect of the business and I look forward to continuing our work on this next chapter in Mortgage Network's history book.”
Comosa, who joined Mortgage Network in 2012 as the director of strategic business development, brings more than 28 years of experience to his new role, having previously served in executive positions with MetLife Home Loans, Countrywide Home Loans, and North American Mortgage Company.
“I’ve enjoyed working with Bob and look forward to continuing the work along with our management team, building upon Bob’s focus and commitment to our customers and the culture he's established here at Mortgage Network of continuous improvement on behalf of our customers, employees and business partners,” Comosa said.
Founded in 1988 by Robert McInnes and retired co-founder Albert Paré III, Mortgage Network has grown to more than 400 employees in 40 branch offices and is licensed to do business in 26 states.
