OIG outlines plans for auditing the CFPB

Although it sometimes seems as if the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has no watchdog, the Office of the Inspector General released its work plan for auditing some of the bureau’s most talked-about projects. The work plan includes audits of the bureau’s headquarters renovation costs, public consumer complaint database and the distribution of funds from the Civil Penalty Fund, among other things.
