CFPB urged to improve supervision program efficiency

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau should take steps to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its supervisory program, according to a report from the agency’s inspector general. The March 27 report found that the bureau needs to improve its reporting timeliness and reduce the number of examination reports that have not yet been issued.
