CFTC final rule: Commodity options

Commodity options transactions will follow the rules applicable to other swaps under a final rule unanimously adopted by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The agency also adopted an interim final rule to provide a trade option exemption for certain physically delivered commodity options used for commercial activities.
