The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. continues to propose rules implementing its orderly liquidation powers under Title II of the Dodd-Frank Act. The FDIC board recently voted to propose a rule permitting the agency to enforce contracts between covered financial companies and their subsidiaries and affiliates in the event the covered company enters into FDIC receivership.
