Regulators amplify call for information on consumer credit report costs

The Federal Trade Commission is again calling on industry participants to comment on the burden associated with existing regulations that require credit bureaus to provide credit reports to consumers. The FTC and CFPB share enforcement authority for the requirement, and the FTC extended the comment period for a notice related to the requirement after the initial notice failed to garner any response from the industry.
