In a time when a company’s online presence can make or break it, and social media has both built careers and destroyed them, social media influencers have developed into their own version of online celebrity; and, just like athletes and cereal boxes, businesses are using these influencer ‘celebrities’ to help push their products and services.
For those companies that are considering taking the plunge into influencer marking, it is important to remember that, like most forms of marketing, this too is subject to government regulation and oversight.
