The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau launched a public inquiry, seeking information on ways to improve the student loan servicing industry and reduce the number of borrowers who go into default. Additionally, the bureau launched an enhanced version of its Repay Student Debt online tool in conjunction with the field hearing it held in Milwaukee.
