Two groups of state attorneys general filed separate amicus briefs with the U.S. Supreme Court urging the court to grant the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) petition for writ of certiorari seeking review of the Fifth Circuit’s decision in Community Financial Services Association of America v. CFPB. The two separate briefs, divided by political affiliation, encourage the court to either uphold or overturn the circuit decision.
