The Mortgage Bankers Association’s 2018 Annual Convention & Expo will feature many of the most influential figures in the industry in one place – the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C.
Dodd Frank Update will cataloguing insight shared from the stage and conducting one-on-one interviews with a multitude of industry insiders to offer high-level perspectives on a myriad of matters involving regulation and what awaits lenders in the near future and on the horizon.
Among the scheduled speakers are newly elected MBA President and CEO Robert Broeksmit, MBA Chairman David Motley, Fannie Mae CEO Tim Mayopoulos, Freddie Mac CEO Donald Layton and numerous other industry leaders, as well as top-tier federal regulators.
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau acting director Mick Mulvaney was a late addition to the conference’s speaking agenda. He will join other high-level regulators set to speak, such as Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Mel Watt, Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Assistant Housing Secretary Brian Montgomery and former Federal Reserve Board Chair Janet Yellen.
The conference is set to run through Wednesday with a variety of educational sessions, networking opportunities and a slew of vendors working the exhibit floor.
