The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau released guidance on May 20 to respond to questions about whether states are allowed to use the uniform state test developed by the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry as part of a qualified written test required by the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act.
