CFPB, FTC issue warnings for potentially deceptive mortgage ads

The CFPB and Federal Trade Commission issued letters to mortgage lenders, mortgage brokers, real estate agents, homebuilders and lead generators, warning dozens of companies that their advertisements may be deceptive. Both agencies also opened formal investigations of other advertisers regulators believe may have violated federal law. Read on for the details.
